The Florida Haitian
Student Association, Inc. (FHSA) is a non-profit organization
organized for charitable and educational purposes as set forth under
section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
FHSA serves as an umbrella organization to all the Haitian student
groups in Florida's higher learning institutions.
Among FHSA's goals are to promote the importance of education
amongst the Haitian youth through its annual college drive and
mentoring program, eliminate prejudice and discrimination in the
Haitian community through information and awareness at the annual
statewide conventions, and bring relief to the detainees/refugees
through the host drives. Furthermore, through FHSA's signature
event, the annual conventions, FHSA brings together professionals
and students to host lectures and forums on the various issue
severely impacting the Haitian community in Florida and in Haiti.
